Goodland Fountain, the main camp venue on Goodland Estate, offers group accommodation for 50 to 180 guests, with a variety of room types to suit different needs.
The venue, developed from the old farmstead, includes the historic Casa Melissa farmhouse and converted surrounding structures. Room layouts are as follows:
Room 1 and Room 2: Dormitories with 14 bunk beds each.
Room 3: Subdivided into three sections: a left back room with 1 bunk and 2 single beds, a right back room with 3 single beds, and a front room with 10 bunk beds.
Room 4: Also subdivided into three sections: a left back room with 3 single beds, a right back room with 3 single beds, and a front room with 8 bunk beds.
Room 5A, Room 5B, and Room 6: En-suite rooms, each with 5 single beds.
Room 7: A dormitory with 32 bunk beds.
Room 8: A breakaway room with 8 single beds.
Room 9A: Dormitory with 12 bunk beds.
Room 9B: En-suite dormitory with 14 bunk beds.
Room 10A: Breakaway room.
Room 10B: Dormitory with 8 bunk beds.
The Casa Melissa farmhouse provides additional options:
Rooms 1, 2, and 5: En-suite rooms with 2 single beds each.

These accommodations are complemented by versatile spaces for activities, including the original shed, a large hall, and ample outdoor facilities. This unique facility is perfect for group camps such as youth retreats, adventure training, team-building events, and church gatherings.
The camp offers a versatile range of amenities, including a large multi-function hall accommodating up to 200 people, a veranda dining area for 50 guests, and vast, well-maintained lawns ideal for games and activities.
Additional features include swimming pools, a boma for campfires, a barn for indoor activities, and scenic trails for hiking, birding, and wildlife observation within the estate's 270 hectares of bushveld.
Primarily a self-catering venue, the kitchen is fully equipped with essentials such as large pots, utensils, a gas stove, an electric frying pan, and ample storage facilities. However, guests may also appoint a private caterer, with Elize (072 126 1997) available in the area to meet catering needs.
Rates for 2024–2025 include indoor accommodation at R220 per person per night, outdoor camping at R150 per person per night, and day visitor access for R100 per person, with children under six staying free.
A minimum booking of R22,000 (50 people for two nights) is required, with discounts available for extended stays, larger groups, or bookings during the low season. Goodland Fountain offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and practical amenities for an unforgettable group retreat.
Casa Riparia, also known as "The River House," offers a serene waterside retreat on the banks of the Tweefonteinspruit next to our largest farm dam. It's perfect for self-catering visitors. The accommodation can host up to 20 guests in four en-suite rooms, each featuring up to five beds in each room. The facilities include a versatile multi-function hall that sits up to 80 people, a walled boma for campfires, braai area, swimming pool and 20 caravan or tent stands equipped with power points and male and female ablution amenities and a wash-up area.

The kitchen and rooms 3 and 4 are situated on the ground floor, while rooms 1 and 2 are located on the first floor above the kitchen. For self-catering, visitors should bring their own knives, dishcloths, dishwashing detergents, matches, and candles. The kitchen is well-equipped with essential catering items, including two 20-liter pots, two 5-liter pots, three plastic jugs, three glass jugs, one juice bucket, a microwave, a four-ring gas stove, a gas oven, an electric frying pan, a fridge-freezer, and a chest freezer. These amenities ensure a comfortable and practical self-catering experience in a peaceful, natural setting.
For the 2024-2025 period, accommodation rates are as follows: indoor stays are R220 per person per night, while outdoor camping in your own tent or caravan is R150 per person per night. Day visitors are charged R100 per person per day, and children under 6 years stay free. A minimum venue booking requires 10 individuals for two nights, totaling R4,400. To secure your booking, a deposit of R2,000 is required.
The Bush Camping experience at Goodland Estate offers a back-to-nature retreat for groups of up to 20 campers. Campers can bring their own tents or sleep under the stars in a rustic environment. The sites are completely off-grid, with no electricity, cold water provided in containers, and composting toilets.
Showers are basic and cold, enhancing the wild camping experience. Open fires are permitted during summer months, and access to these remote campsites is reserved for high-clearance off-road vehicles. These locations are particularly suitable for hikers utilizing the estate's trails.
Lilly Dam Bush Camp Campsites: Nestled by the serene old Lilly Dam in the Tweefonteinspruit area, this site is a paradise for water bird enthusiasts.
Zebra Pass Bush Camp Campsites: Positioned at the highest point on the farm, this ridge once served as a zebra crossing between grazing areas. It offers spectacular views of the valley where the Tweefonteinspruit converges with the Boekenhoutspruit.
Rates (2024–2025): Camping in own tent or off-road caravan - R100 per person per night (use of trails included). Children under 6 camp for free.

Open to visitors on Sundays, Goodland Estate boasts over 20 kilometers of trails, making it a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're bringing your mountain bike or horse, or simply enjoy hiking, there's plenty of nature to experience.
There are three hiking trails on the estate, which can be combined to suit different levels of fitness and adventure. The estate also features three mountain bike trails, offering varying degrees of difficulty, which can also be combined for a more challenging ride. For equestrians, the 20 kilometers of jeep trails provide an ideal environment for a horseback ride through scenic terrain.
